Veteran's Service Recognition Book
July 30, 2010
Veterans Service Recognition Book: The Veterans Service Recognition Book is an annual publication of Nova Scotia/Nunavut Command of the Royal Canadian Legion. It is a means for the Legion to identify and recognize many of the brave service people of Nova Scotia who have served our country so well during WWI, WWII, Korea, during peacekeeping and peacemaking missions, and most recently Afghanistan. Each book contains approximately 400-500 veteran’s photos and biographies. Photos can be present day but period photos in uniform are preferred if possible. Biographies should be short, about 5-7 lines, which would describe the veteran’s service career – years served, theatres served in, medals earned, etc. A convenient submission form is available from Branch #150 to help you with your biography. Proceeds raised from this project are used to help support our Veterans and seniors and the many community activities of the Legion including Scholarships, Cadets and Youth Leadership. If you would like to have your family’s veterans included in out next book – our 6th edition – please contact me, Ralph Roberts at Branch #150. Please remember that the submission deadline is July 30th, 2010. Thank you on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion.
