Silver Don Cameron - Order of Canada
June 30, 2012
On the eve of Canada Day a former Richmond County resident has been named as a Member of the Order of Canada.

Silver Donald Cameron is one of 70 Canadians noted for their contribution to their communities.

Cameron was cited for his contributions as a journalist, writer, educator, consultant and dedicated community activist.

While living in D'Escousse, Cameron was involved in community Economic Development as one of the founding members of Development Isle Madame Association and the Telile Community TV station.

Cameron will officially be named as a 'Member of the Order of Canada' at a ceremony later this year
